Alcohol withdrawal and detox
Alcohol withdrawal typically involves tremors, sweating, anxiety, insomnia, nausea, and in severe cases seizures or delirium tremens, which can be fatal without medical care. Our detox unit provides 24-hour nursing, physician-managed comfort and taper medications, and a direct handoff into inpatient care.
Medication-assisted treatment
Treatment options for alcohol include naltrexone, acamprosate, and disulfiram. Medication decisions are made by our physicians with you, based on your history, and are combined with therapy rather than used alone.
Therapy and dual diagnosis care
Most people with alcohol use disorder also have a co-occurring condition such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, or bipolar disorder. We assess for these at intake and treat them at the same time. Core therapies include CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, trauma-focused therapy, and family work.
