Cocaine withdrawal and detox
Cocaine withdrawal typically involves profound fatigue, depression, increased appetite, vivid dreams, and strong cravings; medically safe but psychiatrically demanding. Because the risk is psychiatric rather than medical, clients typically begin in inpatient or PHP with immediate psychiatric evaluation and mood support.
Medication-assisted treatment
Treatment options for cocaine include no FDA-approved medication, but behavioral therapies including contingency management have strong evidence. Medication decisions are made by our physicians with you, based on your history, and are combined with therapy rather than used alone.
Therapy and dual diagnosis care
Most people with cocaine use disorder also have a co-occurring condition such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, or bipolar disorder. We assess for these at intake and treat them at the same time. Core therapies include CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, trauma-focused therapy, and family work.
